pizzicato each string 4 x’s each in quarter note rhythm
2. Color cello diagram and label each part of the cello
3. Posture is very important-Feet flat on the ground, sitting at the edge of the chair, cello resting against chest.

Introduction to the Bow-Handle with care! Do not touch the horse hair. Loosen the bow when not using it. Apply rosin to add grip to the string.
Exercises
1. Crawling up the bow
2. Window wipers
Pizzicato “pepperoni pizza” on D and A string
Add left hand 1st finger on D string
Week of 10/5
Continue with bow exercises-Make sure the bow is not too tight, there should be a natural curve in the wood.
Left hand fingers will be added to the fingerboard this week. Fingers are curved, almost like a hook.
Continue with the note E and rhythm work.

Three Blind Mice- 3 - 1 - open 4 times each
